Soda Films was founded by Ameya Dahibavkar and I in the year 2007 with an itch to go independent and a singular belief: if it can be twisted, why say it straight? Over the years we have handcrafted advertising commercials for agencies and brands across India. Perhaps it’s not too much to add that we have been responsible for campaigns that have truly become memorable and funny, if not iconic.

In the year 2020 we made our foray into the world of original content when we co-produced with Disney our first feature film ‘Lootcase’. A film for which, (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) I won my first Filmfare Award for Best Debut Director.

A few years ago, we truly became a mom and pop shop when my wife,
Sumittha Rajesh, joined Soda to accelerate our journey into, whatchamacallit, the universe of long format.
